Annual Davis Islands Golf Cart Parade is one of Tampa’s best holiday events

The holiday season brings plenty of festive traditions to Tampa Bay, and one of the most unique is the 12th Annual Davis Islands Golf Cart Parade. This year’s parade will take place on Sunday, December 15, starting at 6 p.m. Yes, this year will feature a special appearance by the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.

Residents of Davis Islands will once again transform their golf carts into holiday masterpieces, decorating them with everything from simple strands of lights to elaborate themes complete with sound effects and costumes. The parade will begin at the Seaplane Basin (650 Severn Avenue) and wind its way through Davis Islands before ending at DI Electric Vehicles (340 E Davis Blvd) around 7 p.m., where an after party will follow.

Attracting hundreds of decorated golf carts

Typically, more than 200 golf carts participate in the event, which has become a holiday staple for locals. The parade route changes each year, providing new opportunities for spectators to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season.
