Pickleball takes over the waterfront: four-day pop-up event in downtown Tampa

Play (pickle)ball! Our waterfront culinary destination Sparkman Wharf invites the community to a dynamic four-day pickleball event, offering players of all levels a chance to compete, connect, and enjoy the lively waterfront atmosphere. The pickleball fun runs from September 9-12 around 615 Channelside Drive.

The event features dedicated beginners’ hours, professional instructors, and all equipment provided, making it the ideal opportunity to learn, play, and mingle with fellow enthusiasts.

From seasoned players to complete newcomers, everyone is encouraged to join in the fun and fitness. The Tampa Pickleball Crew will guide beginners with expert tips and techniques during the Dedicated Beginners’ Hours, which run from 8am-10am, and 5pm-7pm daily. Courts will be open from 7am-11am, and 5pm-9pm each day, with a variety of play styles and a paddle rack system to ensure everyone gets a turn.

Enjoy the popular game on Tampa’s waterfront

Four courts provided by Addict Pickleball, along with paddles and balls, will be available for use—participants may also bring their own equipment. The event operates on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring a fun and welcoming environment for all.

Attendees can also visit the Addict Pickleball pop-up shop at Sparkman Wharf to pick up any gear or supplies needed for the game. With its emphasis on community, fitness, and enjoyment, this pickleball event promises a memorable experience for all.
