Oxford Exchange (420 W Kennedy Blvd) is a local institution that often has superlatives thrown its way. It’s one of the best brunch spots in the world, it’s home to one of the cutest bookstores in Florida, it’s one of the top wedding venues in the area, and its champagne bar is magical. It makes sense that the destination brimming with love would do something exqusite for Valentine’s Day. On February 14, from 3:30pm-7:30pm, The OE will host an afternoon tea experience.
Reservations are required. The Afternoon Tea experience costs $70 per person. An official menu hasn’t been revealed yet, but the owners note that sweet and savory selections will be available, in addition to extremely soothing tea. There’s a reason this spot is one of our top romantic restaurants in Tampa.

A dreamy gathering space in the heart of Tampa
A brief description of the history behind the ritual via AfternoonTea.Co: Afternoon Tea is a tea-related ritual, introduced in Britain in the early 1840s. It evolved as a mini meal to stem the hunger and anticipation of an evening meal at 8pm. Afternoon Tea is a meal composed of sandwiches (usually cut delicately into ‘fingers’), scones with clotted cream and jam, sweet pastries and cakes.
Before you enoy the tea, make sure to stroll through one of the best booktores in Tampa Bay – their bookseller recommendations are fantastic. You can learn more about its shop, upcoming events, and reserving the space for private events on its website.
Oxford Exchange is also home to the recently opened Candle Pour – a space where you and your friends/parnter can create your own signature scent.
