It knuckle puck time, Tampa. The NCAA Men’s Frozen Four is one of the most exciting events in all of college sports, and this year, it will take place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa. We’ve just wrapped up March Madness with thrilling victories for the LSU women’s basketball team, and the UCONN men’s basketball, so this feels like the perfect continuation of that adrenaline rush. Insert your own alliterative “April ____ ” tagline to snowball the hype for this collegiate tradition.
No. 1 Minnesota will take on Boston University at 5pm in the first national semifinal at Amalie Arena on Thursday, April 6. Then, it’ll be No. 2 Quinnipiac facing No. 3 Michigan in the nightcap at 8:30pm. The Gophers are heavy favorites to win it all. I may be a bit bias here because I used to go to basketball camp at Quinnipiac every summer, but I’m picking the Bobcats from CT to win it all.

Amalie Arena is the perfect venue to host this prestigious and exhilarating tournament. The arena is so equipped with top level food hubs, great seats, and interactive components between periods that you don’t really even need to be a hockey fan to enjoy the experience.
The atmosphere at the Frozen Four is always electric (pun intended), with fans from all over the country coming together to cheer on their favorite teams. Who would’ve thought that Tampa would slowly morph into one of the top hockey towns in America.
Tickets can be purchased online. Amalie Arena is located at 401 Channelside Drive.
