Mpanitas is growing, y’all! The Venezuelan sensation on 4 wheels now has a brick and mortar location at 10865 Cross Creek Boulevard in New Tampa. It’s famed for its arepas, empanadas, and sweet coffee drinks. The quaint location is completely perfumed with the flavors of the kitchen, and the scents will totally stimulate your appetite.
One menu item you may have seen on TikTok but haven’t tried yet is the Venezuelan chicha. The drink is made with white rice, spices, and three different kinds of milk. M’panitas adds some cinnamon and syrup to the top of theirs to send the drinks profile over the top in the best way possible.

Their empanada selection includes guava and cheese, shredded beef, black bean and cheese, potato and cheese, and shredded beef. Mandocas are a must try for all first time visitors, it’s a Venezuelan deep fried plantain ring with sugar cane and cheese. I’d take this fried confection over a donut any day of the week.
M’panitas sweet tequenos are the best kept foodie secret in the city. Yes, the plain cheese tequenos are simple and addictive, but the sweet elevation on their signature treats are euphoric. The white cheese and sweet plantain dough tequeno is an obvious standout. Other options include Nutella, guava and white cheese, and yellow corn.
Mini fried arepas a pure crowd pleaser if you’re visiting the new restaurant with friends. You can tease your taste buds more by visit the restaurant’s Instagram page (it’s brimming with mouth watering photos and videos). You can also visit their other location at 7730 Palm River Road.
