The sweets just keep on coming. Hot on the heels of Dessert Wars announcing its return, and just before the Tampa Bay Chocolate Festival takes place, Lukumaki brings its Greek donut and coffee truck to Tampa. They’ve teased a debut for quite some time. Lukumaki has tantalized the taste buds of locals with images of perfectly fried balls of sweet dough drizzled with all variety of sauces. On January 27, Tampa will finally get its first chance to try the desserts.
“EXCITING NEWS TAMPA! 🎉 We’ll finally be opening NEXT FRIDAY [January 27]! Make sure you get in line fast, because first 10 customers will get FREE Greek Donuts. We can’t wait to meet you all! 🤩” posted the owners in announcement on Instagram. They haven’t posted their official hours yet, so make sure you’re following the Greek donut purveyors on Facebook and IG for updates.

Greek donuts (Loukoumades) are little bite-sized fluffy sweet honey balls, which are deep fried to crispy perfection. They are traditionally served soaked in hot honey syrup, sprinkled with cinnamon and garnished with chopped walnuts or toasted sesame seeds.
Owner Alexandra Karamitsios started Lukumaki in Miami at the onset of the pandemic. What started as a modest passion project has transformed into one of the most buzzed about new culinary arrivals in the city. The menu features classic Greek donuts tops with powdered sugar, Nutella, honey, baklava, and dulce de leche.
Lukumaki will be posted up at 500 N Florida Avenue
If you’re on the hunt for donuts this weekend, we recommend visiting Hole in One Donuts, which was just named one of the best donut shops in the country.
