This legendary celebration was immortalized in a 2021 documentary aptly titled Hot Dog Party directed by Michael Sinclair. The synopsis is brimming with local champion pride: “Tampa Bay has become known as CHAMPA BAY going to the World Series, Back 2 Back Stanley Cup Finals and winning the Super Bowl. Saturday night at Hot Dog Party 15 the real road to IMMORTALITY shall be paved to HOT DOG SUPREMACY.”

“After a year off because of COVID-19, Tampa’s original hot dog eating competition and concert returns to Ybor City for a night of very ‘murican celebrations and a bout between past chompions of the contest. Filmmaker Michael M. Sinclair chronicles the contest and contestants in this documentary”

Keep up with the event on Facebook.
