Gabby Bakes is one of the best dessert shops in Tampa, and the greater Tampa area. The local market standout made swift work of building out a brick-and-mortar location in Seminole Heights at 4404 N Florida Avenue. This new location includes a vibrant pink paint job courtesy of Sun Signs. On September 16, Gabby Bakes will host its first walk-up pastry box day in the neighborhood.
“Starting out slow with these at one a month till I get a lil more comfortable, but eventually want to start doing them fairly frequently with some rando pie and cake themed days thrown into the mix,” writes owner Gabriella Duncan on Instagram. ” I’m not a traditional walk up storefront most of the time, but I very much am committed to bringing y’all some fresh baked treats whenever able. Nothing compares to a fresh baked pastry, and as chaotic as it can sometimes be to bake a ton of diff stuff for you folks, it’s a challenge I kinda live for and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.”

Gabby’s first event will run from 10am-1pm, or until all the pastries are sold out. Make sure to arrive early to secure your whole of vegan treats. Gabby’s recent creations include passionfruit key lime pies, roasted strawberry “honey” custard pie, s’mores toasted meringue, and yuzu curd topped olive oil sponge cakes w/ chamomile “honey” buttercream.
