Elevenses Bakery is one of the most magical sweet shops in Florida. This is a project as imagined by barista and baker Jade Yelvington. The former pop-up market favorite is now singing beautifully crafted desserts at 1001 E Columbus Drive. In 2023, lines formed around the block to get a taste of Elevenses Gilmore Girls-inspired menu items. Yes, the bakery transformed Tampa into Stars Hollow. This coming week, in celebration of its birthday, Tampa will become The Shire with Elevenses Lord of the Rings inspired menu. It will be available from January 17 through January 27.
“I built the menu using a combo of direct references/quotes (although with LOTR there aren’t as many as there are for some of the other themed menus), foods that felt like they’d be a part of Middle Earth (but most specifically the Shire), and a hint of classic British/European fare,” writes Yelvington in an Instagram announcement.

“Any purchase of $35 or more will get you an entry to the raffle to win @legbootlegit’s “My Precious Sméagol” doll.” According to the post, “there are only like three of these beauties in the world, and one of them could be yours. Your own. Your precious.”
The menu includes coffee drinks and sweets. Here’s a taste of what will be available:
- Mines of Moria: Charcoal and 5-spice latte with sparkle
- Mordor: Layered cloud latte strawberry pink peppercorn base, charcoal mocha espresso, Thai tea cloud foam
- The Shire: Carrot and lime soda with cucumber mint ice
- Apricot Coffee Cake
- Polish Potato Handpie: flaky pastry filled with potatoes, beets, apples, sauerkraut, lemon basil sauce
- Lembas Bread Macaron: Citrus, lavender, and almond
- Beorns Honey Cakes: Honey cream cheese, honey caramel
- One Ring Pretzles: Ring-shaped salted pretzels with the prancing pony’s famous ale cheese sauce
