Inspired by the alleys of Paris, the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans, and the Foundry building in Naperville, Dunedin Mix is an ambitious confluence of design, shopping, eating, and drinking. A charming courtyard and two-story balcony home to various vendors, all orbiting Dunedin Mix’s focal point, a rotating carousel bar, complete with wings, mirrors, and fixed seats. Don’t worry, it’s a slow ride (one rotation every 38 minutes)—your cocktail won’t spill.
Co-owned by Brandon Stanley and his mother Kristen Ernst, Dunedin Mix is located at 990 Broadway, Dunedin, and is open Sun 10am–8pm; Tue–Thurs from 1pm–8pm; and Fri–Sat from 11am–11pm.

While leisurely riding the carousel bar, enjoy popular, signature cocktails like the “Amethyst”: Stoli, elderflower, butterfly pea tea, lavender, sage, smoke; “Flapper Girl”: Bombay, tangerine, lemon, Galliano; Or else the house-made espresso martini: vodka infused in-house with vanilla bean for a week, then mixed with fresh espresso in a keg, and pumped through a nitro line so it comes out creamy—a perfect espresso martini.
Dunedin mimics Parisian alley vibes
The carousel bar isn’t the only thing that rotates. Dunedin Mix mixes it up with different shows and vendors. Right now, you can grab Polynesian cuisine at Huli Bowl & Rotisserie, chow authentic Venetian (with a twist) at Al Dente Pasta & Pizza, sport some new duds from Era Boutique, taste a variety of tapas at Spoons, attend a cooking workshop at Epicurean Exchange, or house a vegan smash burger at The Green Table.
Regular comedy and music shows cycle through Dunedin Mix, too. But the most impressive of the space is the feel. Brandon explains that walking through Dunedin mimics walking through the shop and bistro-studded alleys of Paris. In Paris, the alleys pre-date cars, so they are too narrow for them, functioning as a network of open-air courtyards rather than roadways.

Not in the mood for Paris? How about the mood…the mood for murder? Dunedin Mix recently hosted a prohibition murder mystery dinner with the Progressive Art Theatre. The 1,500 square-foot event space upstairs, which boasts a private bar, was used for the 2-hour event, an event the co-owner, Brandon, intends to continue every month. So, assume a character, practice an accent, don a pair of lace gloves, a black beret, a cumberbund, or a too-big cowboy hat with a ‘stache to match.
