Holy hot chicken, Tampa, a hub for massive chicken tenders and sandwiches is expanding in the city. Dave’s Hot Chicken has announced they’re opening a second location in Tampa (they currently operate another hot chicken joint at 2540 E. Fowler Ave). A new hot chicken hub will debut at 2961 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Unit 101 on February 2.
The restaurant has become famous for its super hot Reaper Fried Chicken, but they also offer super mild varieties for the less bold. Dave’s also specializes in top-loaded milkshakes (M&M and Oreo are the true standouts), and the fried chicken hubs menu is loaded with top-tier sides such as crinkle-cut fries and cole slaw.

Friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenya founded Dave’s Hot Chicken in 2017. According to their website, the friends had ‘scrounged’ up $900 to open a small stand in an East Hollywood parking lot, and since then have grown the business nationwide.
They now operate locations across 22 states and have even expanded abroad. Check out the full fried chicken menu on Dave’s website.
We did also want to shout out a local hub here in Tampa King of the Coop. You can visit them out in Ybor City at 1812 N 15th Street.
