Strawberry Season is fast approaching in Florida. Plant City is the central hub of activity during the sweetest time of year. While we’re still a couple of months away from the Strawberry Festival, the time to savor the sweet berries is almost here. The Berry Barn (3931 State Road 60 E.) in Dover announced they will open for the season on December 28, 2024.
They suffered some damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton but were delighted to announce they’d open before the end of the year.

This Dover gem offers fresh strawberries picked daily for purchase, along with other fruits, vegetables, and Raw honey. The kitchen also serves delicious strawberry milkshakes, shortcakes, pizza, and pie.
Savor Berry Barn’s famous strawberry pizza
Are you curious about Strawberry Pizza? Many first-time visitors share similar sentiments. Diners can select from two crusts: pecan cookie or Graham cracker. The pizza is then slathered with sweet cream cheese icing made in-house. Sliced strawberries are then mixed with a mesmerizing strawberry glaze and added to the top. It’s a Sunshine State masterpiece.
We also highly recommend you visit The Strawberry Hut in Plant City if you’re in the area. The name may say “strawberry,” but its true claim to fame is its vast (and highly regarded) Cuban sandwiches.
