Big hats, mint juleps, long shot bets, and 3 minutes of concentrated excitement. The Kentucky Derby is a spectacle that stretches far beyond the Bluegrass State. You’ll find plenty of derby parties around Tampa, but the odds-on favorite is The 13 Ugly Men Foundation’s 3rd Annual Derby Party at American Social.
This horse racing shindig will take place on Saturday, May 4th, starting at 3pm and going well into the evening. This is not one of those “watch the race then leave” type of events. This Derby Party will feature multiple live bands, DJ, TV screens for airing of the race, party tents, a live horse, winner’s circle photo booth, food, and more. So dress in your finest dress, fascinator, hat, bow tie, and linens and get ready to party for a great cause!
The 13 Ugly Men Foundation has been supporting local organizations since the 1990s and the 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization is excited to contribute to Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA) through this Derby Party. As the certified domestic violence organization in Pinellas County, CASA provides residential and non-residential services to survivors of domestic violence through their dynamic array of programs which include a 24-hour shelter, legal advocacy, and their Childhood “Peacemaker” Violence Prevention Programs.
This event is presented by The 13 Ugly Men Foundation, Jerry Ulm Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Morgan Automotive Group, CASA St. Petersburg, American Social Tampa, Woodford Reserve, Tito’s, Moët, and Hennessy.
