Agave Social is Carrollwood’s new hot spot for birria and craft cocktails

Agave Social has opened in the Carrollwood neighborhood at 14803 N Dale Mabry Highway, bringing an exciting new dining experience to Tampa.

Leading the kitchen is Chef Ben, the Executive Chef of Pineapple Hospitality Group. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Chef Ben has called Tampa home for nearly 20 years. With experience as a Regional Chef for Del Frisco’s and Ruth’s Hospitality Group and Executive Chef for Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, Chef Ben brings a wealth of culinary expertise and creativity. Outside of the kitchen, he enjoys traveling, fishing, camping, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

A new 5-star taco spot in Tampa Bay

Agave Social’s menu features bold, flavorful dishes that are quickly building a loyal following. Highlights include the Bao Down with hoisin-glazed pork and gochujang aioli, Kung Pao cauliflower, and birria empanadas. Taco options include the Double Barrel Brisket Taco, Tajin Beer-Battered Gulf Grouper Tacos, and Volcano Shrimp Tacos. Other crowd-pleasers include the birria grilled cheese and brisket nachos.

Customer reviews reflect the excitement, with one guest noting, “The food, atmosphere, and service were impeccable,” while another praised the tacos and sauces. The churro ice cream sandwich also received high marks, with a suggestion for more cinnamon sugar.
