Temple Terrace has a new destination for dessert lovers with the opening of Bekdash Ice Cream at 11013 N 56th St. (right next door to Queen of Sheba Ethiopian Cuisine). Specializing in authentic Arabian ice cream and sweets, Bekdash promises to deliver top-quality, fresh, and delicious treats with a vision of expanding through continued market development.
The shop’s menu boasts unique offerings such as Ice Cream Baklava and Kunafa with Ice Cream, but the star attraction is “Booza,” a traditional Arabic ice cream. Unlike American ice cream, Booza is denser, less sugary, and features a stretchy, chewy texture that takes longer to melt, making it possible to enjoy with a fork. This unique texture is achieved through a distinctive process of pounding and stretching the ice cream in a freezer drum, rather than the typical churning method used in Western-style ice creams.

Bekdash has already started to make a mark, with one 5-star review on Google from Jordan Segur stating, “We got the crispy kunafe topped with ashta and pistachios. The BEST kunafe we have had around the world! The atmosphere felt like you were actually in the Middle East. We will be back soon!”
With its commitment to quality and authentic Middle Eastern flavors, Bekdash Ice Cream is set to become a favorite spot in the community for both locals and visitors alike.
