The Historic Tampa Theatre (711 N Franklin St) will host its signature annual BeerFest fundraiser on July 29. Each year the Theatre crafts a different theme, and this year it’s Beerassic Park — queue up the iconic John Williams score. Tickets can be purchased in advance online.
Tampa Theatre’s signature summer fundraiser, BeerFest, has raised more than $100,000 for the nonprofit movie palace with events like Barley’s Angels, The Brews Brothers and Pee-Wee’s Beer Adventure.

This year, the majestic movie palace welcomes you to Beerassic Park – presented by SouthEast Personnel Leasing – from 7:00-10:00pm Saturday, July 29, with an evening of craft beers and local brewers, plus snacks and samples from some of the city’s top independent restaurants, including:
- BarrieHaus Beer Co.
- Common Dialect Beerworks
- Coppertail Brewing Co.
- Corner Club
- Florida Avenue Brewing Co.
- Independent Bar & Café
- King of the Coop
- King State
- Late Start Brewing
- Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque
- Motorworks Brewing
- On the Go Gourmet
- Ulele Spring Brewery
- Woven Water Brewing Company
BeerFest guests are invited to don their dino duds, dress as their favorite Jurassic Park character, or come in a costume inspired by the movie. Guests must be 21 or older to attend and valid Government-issued ID is required for entry.
Like previous beer-infused, tongue-in-cheek BeerFest events, Beerassic Park is chaired by one of Tampa Theatre’s most ferocious Awesome-sauruses, Veronica Danko, owner of Seminole Heights’ Independent bar and cafe. And though the theme may be silly, BeerFest’s purpose is most serious: the 13th (almost) annual event benefits the Theatre’s artistic, educational and community programs, as well as the ongoing preservation of the 97-year-old historic landmark.
