Timpano has been a Tampa staple for nearly 20 years and continues to serve as a community anchor for Hyde Park Village. Under the culinary leadership of Executive Chef Jason Saldutti and Tavistock Restaurant’s Vice President of Food & Beverage Michael Ferraro, Timpano’s refined and elevated menu will focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and feature a comfortably chic, rustically elegant and authentic Italian dishes like housemade rigatoni with charred tomatoes and Calabrian chilies, as well as pappardelle with crispy king oysters and a white miso black truffle. Seafood and steak options will be prevalent with Waygu beef, whole branzino and the return of guest favorite skillet-roasted mussels.

Timpano has served Tampa for more than 20 years

The top item to try: Parm To Table Macaroni Experience.

Savor bucatini al pesto prepared table side in a parmesan wheel. This is enough to serve two, but we won’t blame you if you get it all for yourself.

Crispy zucchini and eggplant, smoked whipped potatoes, king oyster mushrooms, smoked gorgonzola gnocchi are all on the menu.

Veal Chop Parm, Berkshire Porkchops, Truffle Arancini round out an exquisite list of entrees.

“To return to my Italian roots to reimagine the Timpano menu with Chef Saldutti was a rewarding experience,” said Ferraro. Both Ferraro and Saldutti are Italian Americans whose passions for cooking comes from growing up in their family kitchens. “We wanted to recreate the dishes we love by using the most authentic and freshest ingredients, while adding a Timpano twist that we believe the Hyde Park community will love.”

Ferraro, who oversees food and beverage operations for Tavistock Restaurant Collection has worked in some of NYC’s top kitchens for nearly 20 years. He was an Iron Chef America contestant, a judge on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay and the culinary expert on Paramount Network’s Bar Rescue. Tavistock Restaurant Collection’s concepts include Abe & Louie’s, Atlantic Fish, Atlas, Boxi Park, Park Pizza & Brewing Company and Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen with several new concepts in development.

The Tavistock Restaurant Collection design team behind Timpano’s revamped look is no stranger to creating beautiful spaces. Sister restaurant The Garden Room at the St. Regis in Atlanta has become one of the most Instagrammed restaurants in the country (@thegardenroomatlanta). Taking cues from that photo worthy space, Timpano will feature inviting warm grays, gold fixtures and plush seating with pops of color and live foliage throughout, inspired by the Italian countryside.

Bringing authentic Italian treats to Hyde Park Village

During the day, Timpano will embody the warmth of an authentic Italian kitchen but at night, it will come alive to become Hyde Park’s neighborhood cocktail bar offering guests elevated cocktails and an unmatched wine program.  Drinks such as the Calabrian Margarita with chili-infused honey or the Frozen Blood Orange Negroni – are the perfect drink for the Hyde Park scene.

“We are thrilled to welcome Timpano back,” said Nicole Dee, General Manager of Hyde Park Village. “The much loved restaurant is better than ever before with its new design and menu. We know our tight-knit community will be just as happy as we are to celebrate this re-opening.”

Following opening preview hours, Timpano will be open daily for weekday lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Patio seating will offer the best spot for people watching in Hyde Park Village.  Guests will be able to order online, including cocktails to go, for pick-up and delivery at timpanohydepark.com.
