Broadway Ball After Dark is the best after party in all of Tampa, and it’s back for 2024. Hosted along the Riverwalk by the Straz, the glitz and glam of Broadway intertwines with the prestige of our theater scene for an event that is bursting with flair, and is one of the city’s annual must-attend galas.
The celebration marks the beginning of the Straz Center’s upcoming Broadway season, and Broadway Ball After Dark 2024 takes place on Saturday, October 19 at 8 pm, hosted under the lights of downtown Tampa. Tickets are available here, and those who purchase four or more receive a 10% discount.
Enjoy a Broadway-themed soiree
Get ready to roar – Broadway Ball After Dark is the Straz’s annual late-night soirée for all of our after-party animals. Guests will join the theater to celebrate their sensational upcoming Broadway season – including the return of Disney’s The Lion King. Indulge yourself with a selection of tempting desserts and hors d’oeuvres. Enjoy a full open bar, dancing into the night and a silent auction – the only silent part of this festivity, you can rest assured.
Broadway Ball After Dark is part of the Broadway Ball, the Straz Center’s highly anticipated fall fundraiser that kicks off the Broadway season. Proceeds support The Straz’s best-in-class programming and arts education initiatives. Attire is black-tie optional.

Epic Broadway season to begin at The Straz
Meanwhile, the upcoming Broadway season at The Straz is a truly incredible lineup, bringing some of the best, biggest and newest shows to their celebrated stage. The blockbuster lineup, highlighted by Disney’s The Lion King and MJ the musical, showcases nine incredible new shows, two returning favorites, and even the world premiere of The Boy Who Loved Batman, a true story about how one man’s vision became a national phenomenon.
