Tostones Inc., home of the plantain sandwich, opens second location

Plantain is our favorite food group, and no one treats the sometimes sweet, sometimes savory item with more respect than Tostones Inc.

The restaurant is famous for its Patacon/Jibarito. A sandwich featuring savory garlic pork between two crispy, flattened plantains. Now, it’s bringing its foodie excellence to 5831 Memorial Highway.

Taste the Tostones Nachos

What do you need to try? Start with the Tostones Rellenos. Twice fried plantains are shaped as a cups and filled with Latin Pork, BBQ Pork, Baked Chicken, Chicken Salad, Chicken Honey Siraracha, Beef Picadillo or Avocado Salad.

Looking to share? Split a generous plate of Tostones Nachos. The crispy fried plantains are topped with cabbage, meat topping of your choice and pico de gallo, avocado and house sauce.

Fried Chicken Mofongo on the Menu

If you’re particularly famished, sink your teeth into the mofongo with crispy fried chicken. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with anything on Tostones Inc.’s menu.

The restaurant held a special soft opening of its new location on October 11. An official grand opening is still TBA.
