ZooTampa unveiled two new experiences this spring. The interactive Stingray Shores and the family-friendly Aussie Trek are now open at the celebrated Tampa park.
The new interactive habitat offers ZooTampa visitors the opportunity for guests to touch and feed graceful stingrays. Guests will also have the unique chance to get into the water and be immersed in the aquatic world of stingrays during an unforgettable Signature Encounter experience that connects guests with these amazing species like never before.

Guests must be 48 inches or taller to participate, and guests under 18 need to attend with a paid, participating adult. The entire in-water experience with the Stingrays runs for 15-20 minutes. The whole program, including changing time, is approximately 90 minutes.
The completely re-imagined Australia family area includes a new ride, Aussie Trek presented by Outback. It features opportunities for parents and their kids to go on a safari and learn about the land down under’s unique wildlife. The area, has an expanded splash pad and dry play area and more opportunities for up-close animal connections with the addition of a wallaby Signature Encounter. Additionally, new food and beverage locations, the Outpost Grab N Go Market and the Boomerang Bar offer guests an array of delicious drinks and food options.
The Billabong Splash Pad (made possible by Bank of America) features new water elements offering more opportunities for guests of all ages to cool off in the Florida sun.
The area’s popular attractions return with a refreshed new look and endless opportunities for fun; Tasmanian Tiger Coaster, Boomer’s Flying Bananas, Koala Clubhouse, Down Under Retail Shop, Straya’s Bird Sanctuary (aviary), and Sydney Station (barnyard).
