You can never have too much BBQ — and the city of Tampa is about to get a new pit master courtesy of Wicked Oak BBQ. The concept has been serving up smoked meats in the city of Tampa for a while now, but the owners are ready to debut a new brick and mortar right next door to King of the Coop at 6607 N Florida Avenue.

Wicked Oak is renowned for its slow smoked pulled pork, smoked sausage, and 813 wings served with guava BBQ sauce. The debut of the brick and mortar location is a longtime coming, and an opening date has officially been set.

On September 7, you can line up to get Wicked Oak BBQ in Seminole Heights. The BBQ joint will open at 11am and will remain open until they’re completely sold out.

Ordering and pick up will only be available in person, so you’ll want to get there early if you’re craving brisket and ribs. Follow Wicked Oak BBQ on Instagram for update on an official opening day menu.

Its neighbor, King of the Coop, is also spreading its wing and will open another location in Wesley Chapel in 33 days. An official countdown can be viewed on the King of the Coop’s website. If you’re in the mood for hot chicken, we recommend you visit here.
