Tampa Bay Seafood & Music Festival

Enjoy a weekend celebration of food and music at the Tampa Bay Seafood and Music Festival, which will be held April 21-22 from 11am-8pm at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. Menu items are freshly-cooked onsite by top local restaurants and food purveyors. All seafood dishes use indigenous and sustainable resources from Florida’s coastal waters. Vendors will be stationed throughout the park showcasing arts and crafts along with a selection of fine products, gourmet food and specialty items. There will also be plenty of music for everyone from rock, soul and R&B to jazz and Caribbean sounds. General admission tickets are $7 at the gate or $5 in advance and children 12 and under free. Ben Roy at Tampa Improv Comedy Theatre (All Weekend)
If you’re looking for a date night this weekend, check out Ben Roy at the Tampa Improv Comedy Theatre. As the creator and actor in Tru Tv’s scripted comedy series, “Those Who Can’t,” as well as appearing as a stand-up comedian for Ari Shaffir’s Comedy Central show, “This is Not Happening,” and starring in movies on HBO, Ben is a professional at making people laugh. Opening Night: In the Time of the Butterflies / En el Tiempo de las Mariposas
If you prefer to spend a date night at a play, check out the opening night of “In the Time of Butterflies,” at 8 pm at Stageworks Theatre. This is a beautiful and inspiring story of the life of the courageous, martyred Mirabal sisters who inspired resistance cells throughout the Dominican Republic under the tyrannical rule of Gen. Butterfly gloWalk 5K FUN RUN & Party
Fundraise for My Hope Chest by participating in the 3rd annual Butterfly gloWalk 5k Fun Run & Party at the Tampa Riverwalk. This family-friendly fitness fundraiser for breast cancer survivors will bring smiles for miles with participants donning butterfly wings and glow-in-the-dark bling! Strange Beauty: Pride and Passion 13
Head out to the Tampa Museum of Art between 7pm and midnight for an annual fundraiser gala supporting the museum’s community outreach and educational programs. Strange Beauty: Pride & Passion 13 will be a fun and energy-filled evening full of surprises inspired by Baroness Marie-Hélène de Rothschild’s 1972 Surrealist Ball at the Chateau de Ferrières.
