Holiday Festivities in Hyde Park Village
Whether you need to get some early holiday shopping done or want to enjoy a day out with the family, Hyde Park Village is the perfect spot to visit. They're hosting a plethora of special holiday events throughout the month. Click here for a full calendar of events

Bright Nights at Glazer Children's Museum
The museum will be transformed into an enchanted land of lights, with holiday classics, exclusive playtime and an evening of fun. Begins at 5:30pm. Tickets are $10-$15. Glazer Children's Museum, 110 West Gasparilla Plaza

Tampa's Downtown On Ice (All Weekend)
Each holiday season Tampa's downtown area gets a winter kiss with the limited time ice skating rink. From November 20, and through January 3 enjoy a winter tradition. Monday -Thursday: 4- 9pm. Friday: 4-10pm. Saturday: 10am-10pm. Sunday: noon-9pm. $12 per person (90 minutes of skating). The rink is located at 600 North Ashley Drive.

Granger Smith at The Dallas Bull
Granger Smith will make his debut at the Dallas Bull on Friday, December 18th. This Texas native has 5 albums under his belt and his latest single, "Backroad Song", peaked in the top 25 on the US Country Charts. This show is for ages 18+ only, doors open at 7pm. Ugly Sweater Art Crawl at Curtis Hixon Park
Hey Tampa! Come out and join Bizou Brasserie, IGers Tampa, Le Meridien and 813 Area for an Ugly Sweater Art Crawl. Meet up at Curtis Hixon at 7pm where you will be given instructions instructions for the crawl. The final spot will be at Bizou Brasserie on the second floor inside of Le Méridien. This Wonderful Life at Stageworks Theatre (Final Weekend) 
One actor inhabits every role in this hilariously touching stage adaptation of the iconic holiday film It's a Wonderful Life. George Bailey, Clarence, Mr. Potter, and the gang come to life as a single actor creates a heartwarming story about the effect one hardworking man's life has on the people around him. It's A Wonderful Life at the Tampa Theatre (Friday-Wednesday)
See the Holiday Classic, It's a Wonderful Life, at the historic Tampa Theatre this weekend. "George Bailey (James Stewart) has spent his entire life giving back to the people of Bedford Falls. But when George's Uncle Billy (Thomas Mitchell) loses a bank deposit from the family’s modest building and loan company on Christmas Eve, the rich and heartless Mr. Potter (Lionel Barrymore) threatens to destroy the company. Thinking his wife (Donna Reed) and their family would be better off with him dead, George contemplates suicide, but his faith is restored when an angel named Clarence (Henry Travers) shows him what life would have been like if he had never existed." The Dram at Ella's Americana Folk Art Cafe
With a blend of violin, keyboard, and distorted guitar, The Dram is an Americana six-piece that walks the line between Southern Rock and Folk (with a healthy dose of punk). The Dram performs a mix of hard-hitting original music and classic-yet-unexpected covers. Our influences include Johnny Cash, Drag the River, Lucero, Hot Water Music, Uncle Tupelo, The Cure, Thin Lizzy, Austin Lucas, Piebald, Cory Branan, Thrice, traditional bluegrass and more. Creative Day Tampa Bay
Spend Sat, Dec. 19 making Christmas cookies, coloring with your kids, or building a photo collage for your Facebook. Do something that gets your creative juices flowing. Your post may be selected for one of the prizes awarded throughout the day by Community Stepping Stones.“Your day of complete creativity might include painting, drawing, designing, building, coloring, carving, sculpting, molding, decorating, tagging, printing or anything else. Create something that speaks to you, post it and tag it,” said Nestor Ortiz, Community Stepping Stones executive director. “We want #CSSCreateDayTB to infuse Tampa Bay communities and cultures with the power of creativity and illustrate the powerful impact being creative can have on the human spirit.”

Next Generation Nutcracker at Straz Center
Internationally renowned guest artists perform along with the award-winning dancers of Next Generation Ballet and a cast of nearly 175 dancers and gymnasts. This production has “marvelous” costumes “with inventive, whimsical touches” (Tampa Bay Times). From the moment the lights dim, audiences are transported to a magical place filled with marching toy soldiers, a growing Christmas tree, giant mice and crystalline waltzing snowflakes. Performances Dec. 19 & 20. 2pm & 7pm on Saturday, 2pm on Sunday. Tickets from $35-$130. Straz Center, 1010 North WC MacInnes Place. 

Skate Park of Tampa's 14th Annual Broke Ass Christmas Costume Party at The Bricks
SPoT takes over The Bricks in Ybor this weekend for their 14th Annual holiday party. The event will include prizes, giveaways and more. Click here for full event details. The festivities begin at 10pm. The Bricks, 1327 East 7th Avenue. 

Holiday Lights Boat Parade Downtown
Enjoy a lights extravaganza on the water in Tampa this weekend. Get the best view the SS American Victory! Celebrate the season aboard the American Victory Ship for the merriest place to view Tampa’s sparkling parade of boats decked in holiday cheer. Set It Off X-Mas Benefit Show at The Orpheum
Set It Off hosts their Christmas Bash this Saturday at The Orpheum. All ticket sales will go to the Tarpon Springs High School Leadership and Music Conservatory. Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 7pm. The Orpheum, 1915 East 7th Avenue. 

Suncoast Blues Society Holiday Party
TC Carr and The Bolts of Blue, with Josh Helms and Franc Robert AND Franc Robert and The Boxcar Tourists will perform live at Skipper's this Saturday to get Tampa in a festive mood. Fun starts at 8pm. $7 in advance, $10 at the door. Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road. 

Jingle Ball feat. Demi Lovato at Amalie Arena
Tampa Bay’s Hit Music Station 93.3FLZ brings the Jingle Ball back to Amalie this Saturday. Jingle Ball is part of the national iHeartRadio Tour, the season’s biggest annual music event that captures the holiday spirit of the iHeartRadio app. The all-star line up that includes: 5 Seconds of Summer, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Zedd, Shawn Mendes, Tove Lo, Charlie Puth, R. City, Hailee Steinfeld, Conrad Sewell, Alessia Cara and DNCE. Starts at 7:30pm. Tickets from $40-$150. Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Drive.

Tampa Indie Flea: Holiday Market
Join the Tampa Indie Flea for a Holiday edition of our Indie Flea, featuring locally made items, food and drink, vintage, plants and so much more! There will be 70+ local vendors. Runs from 12-4pm. Located at 1617 North Franklin Street. 

River of Lights Cruise
There’s no better way to get into the holiday spirit than to experience our River of Lights Christmas Cruise. Step aboard the beautifully decked halls of Yacht StarShip for a cruise up the Hillsborough River and see the new beautifully lighted bridges and decorated Tampa Harbor. On board, experience a traditional holiday buffet freshly prepared by our executive chef and cap the night off with a visit from Santa, hot chocolate, and Santa’s Favorite holiday cookies! 6-8:30pm. $59.95 for adults, $29.295 for children. The Joe Cocker Experience at Skipper's Smokehouse
The members of Mad Dogs – The Joe Cocker Experience have performed with dozens of regional, national and international acts, covering every genre of music. This is what gives Mad Dogs the rhythms and grooves they project. Mad Dogs doesn’t simply play a bunch of Joe Cocker songs. Tampa Bay Lightning vs Ottawa Senators
