Martinis for Moffitt – August 6
This event supports Moffitt’s critical cancer research programs. It is one of the best fundraising events in the Tampa Bay Area, providing a unique blend of entertainment and networking, while raising money to fight a devastating disease. The Maids at Shimberg Playhouse (All Weekend) 
Based on a true story: two sisters ritualistically act out fantasies of committing a murder. Suspenseful, strange, and sexy, this potent and poetic psychodrama will keep you guessing until the lights go black! The Maids was French poet, novelist, art critic, essayist, and film-maker Jean Genet’s first play to be produced, coming hot on the heels of the publication of his most famous book, “Our Lady of Flowers.” It is inspired by the famous 1933 French murder trial of Christine and Lea Papin, two sisters employed as maids, who gruesomely killed their employer and her adult daughter. Tampa Bay Lightning Playoff Watch Party at Channelside Bay Plaza
The Lightning have made it to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second year in a row. They face the Penguins in what is sure to be a competitive series. The Hummingbirds at Ella's Americana Folk Art Cafe
The Hummingbirds were an indie pop and jangle pop band from Sydney, Australia formed in 1986 from Bug Eyed Monsters. They perform at Ella's at 10pm. Ella's American Folk Art Cafe, 5119 North Nebraska Avenue.

Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic at Amalie Arena (Thursday-Saturday)

Soul Crooners 2 at Jaeb Theatre (All Weekend)
Last year’s held-over hit Soul Crooners returns for another fun-filled blast of some of the greatest soul music ever made. Soul Crooners 2 celebrates the sounds of the 70s, featuring the guys dancing, singing, swinging and mixing up heavenly harmonies from the O’Jays, Earth Wind and Fire, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Donny Hathaway, Jackson Five and many more. Selwyn Birchwood at Skipper's Smokehouse
Selwyn Birchwood, Florida’s rising young blues fireball, is a guitar and lap-steel-playing bundle of pure energy. He delivers his original songs with a revival tent preacher’s fervor and a natural storyteller’s charisma made all the more impactful by his raw, unvarnished vocals. 8pm. $10 in advance, $13 at the door. Tango Caliente – The Florida Orchestra at Carol Morsani Hall
Be transported by the sultry, sizzling and seductive sounds of the dance of romance…the tango…in a night of such fiery tango classics as La Cumparsita, Oblivión, El Choclo, Volver, Por Una Cabeza and more by Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel and others…all with Argentinean dancers, singer and bandoneón artist. Rewind Classics: They Live at Tampa Theatre
A quiet man at the fringe of society, talented at what he does but mostly marginalized, finds himself with an opportunity. In an eyeblink, he's given the means to see beyond the deceptive surface of the mundane world. Now, having revealed the horrific monsters that pull all of our puppet strings, he has to try to convince others of the truth and get their help to defeat (through punching and gunfire) the true rulers of Earth. Saturday, May 14

Tampa Train Day at Tampa Union Station 
Tampa Train Day is a family-friendly, local event now in its 9th year in Tampa. It is organized by the volunteers of Friends of Tampa Union Station. Model train displays in HO, N, S and G scales from area model railroad clubs, including the Suncoast Model Railroad Club, The H.B. Plant Railroad Historical Society, Suncoast American Flyer Enthusiasts and others. Special appearance by the Tampa Firefighters Museum's historic fire engine number 42, "Little Mack"!Live music! Food trucks and more. 10am-4pm. FREE and open to the public. Tampa Union Station, 601 North Nebraska Avenue. 

Sandi Skyler Puppet Show at Rehearsal Hall
Children and adults alike marvel at the master storytelling of ventriloquist and singer Sandi Sylver, whose shows blend puppets, stories and songs into an enchanting program that educates and entertains. Fun for the whole family! 11am. $7.50. Rehearsal Hall at Straz Center, 1010 North W.C. MacInnes Place. 

Barns and Beer Craft Brew Fest at Old McMickey's Farm
Come out to a beautiful, classic farm with a big red barn set on a picturesque 40 acre lake. Enjoy over 75 of the best craft beers and wine with great entertainment, great food and friends. Slide the City
A gigantic waterslide is coming to Tampa. Residents can purchase wristbands which grant them 3 slides during a 2 hour wave time of their choice. Slide the City is a family friendly slip-and-slide water party event. There will be live music, food, drinks, water, and of course the biggest slip and slide ever to hit asphalt. VANS Pool Party Webcast at Skatepark of Tampa + The Bricks
Can't make it to the Vans Pool Party in Cali? The SPoT will be stream the live webcast and chilling with some food and drink at SPoT Ybor + The Bricks in Ybor City. Join them if you're in the Tampa area. Live webcast starts at 6pm. The Bricks, 1327 East 7th Avenue.

Tampa Bay Rowdies vs Rayo OKC
The Rowdies return home this Saturday, May 14 to take on Rayo OKC. Visit Rowdies Den before the match for the best pre-game party in the Burg. Apocalyptica at The Ritz Ybor
Apocalyptica is a Finnish metal band from Helsinki, Finland formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso and drummer Mikko Sirén. Doors open at 8pm. $25-$40. The Ritz, 1503 East 7th Avenue. 

Igor and the Red Elvises at Skipper's Smokehouse
If Igor and Red Elvises aren’t in the middle of a tour, they are getting ready for the next one – this is a group that is constantly in motion and consistently evolving. Singer, songwriter, guitarist and showman extraordinaire Igor Yuzov is perpetually globetrotting and in the process he has found scores of wildly talented, entertaining musicians to bring into the fold of this increasingly international party band. 11th Annual Taste of South Tampa at Tampa Garden Club
Unlimited food and beverage samples, live entertainment, access to activities in the Kids Zone, give-aways from sponsors, opportunity to win prizes by participating in the canned food drive and voting for the "Best of South Tampa" awards. Woodstock Walk for Bleeding Disorders
The HFGF Woodstock Walk for Bleeding Disorders (formerly the Tampa Bay Clot Trot) is a healthy, far out and effective way to show your support for all those living with Hemophilia or other related bleeding disorders. Join the Tampa community for a walk around the beautiful Al Lopez Park in Tampa in your best 1960s/1970s Hippie costume and raise funds for HFGF to fulfill our mission to improve the quality of life for people with bleeding disorders and their families through education, information and referral services, advocacy and research. 9am-noon. Tampa Indie Flea at Rialto Theater

2nd Annual “It’s Too Hot” Fundraiser with The Black Honkeys at Skipper's Smokehouse
Faces of Courage Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit cancer patient support organization, dedicated to providing, free of charge, programs emphasizing practical education; life coping strategies; and improved self esteem; through non-threatening, engaging, and recreational outings and overnight camps, including culturally relevant programs for minorities, which encourage a sense of “community” rather than isolation, with a primary goal of helping the cancer patient navigate their way through the treatment process and to thrive as a  survivor. Faces of Courage provides ‘free’ life enriching experiences for children and families touched by all cancers and blood disorders. Begins at 2pm. $10 in advance, $15 day of. Hamlet Broadcast by National Theatre Live at Ferguson Hall 
National Theatre Live is the National Theatre’s groundbreaking project to broadcast the best British theater from the London stage to theaters around the world. Academy Award® nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock, The Imitation Game, Frankenstein at the National Theatre) takes on the title role of Shakespeare’s great tragedy. Directed by Lyndsey Turner (Posh, Chimerica) and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, National Theatre Live will broadcast this eagerly awaited production live to cinemas. As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralysed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state. The 2016 Tampa Bay Margarita Festival returns to Downtown Tampa! Bigger, Better, and More Margaritas than Ever! Blues Traveler will perform LIVE.
