Monday, 12/21

Tampa's Downtown On Ice (All Week)
Each holiday season Tampa's downtown area gets a winter kiss with the limited time ice skating rink. From November 20, and through January 3 enjoy a winter tradition. Monday -Thursday: 4- 9pm. Friday: 4-10pm. Saturday: 10am-10pm. Sunday: noon-9pm. $12 per person (90 minutes of skating). The rink is located at 600 North Ashley Drive.

It's A Wonderful Life at the Tampa Theatre (Monday-Wednesday)
See the Holiday Classic, It's a Wonderful Life, at the historic Tampa Theatre this weekend. "George Bailey (James Stewart) has spent his entire life giving back to the people of Bedford Falls. But when George's Uncle Billy (Thomas Mitchell) loses a bank deposit from the family’s modest building and loan company on Christmas Eve, the rich and heartless Mr. Potter (Lionel Barrymore) threatens to destroy the company. Thinking his wife (Donna Reed) and their family would be better off with him dead, George contemplates suicide, but his faith is restored when an angel named Clarence (Henry Travers) shows him what life would have been like if he had never existed." Santa in Hyde Park Village – Paper Source (Monday through Wednesday) 
Santa arrives in Hyde Park Village this week! You can meet him Monday through Wednesday at Paper Source. He'll be available for photos from 1-5pm all three days. Paper Source, 714 South Village Circle. 

 

 

Tuesday, 12/22

Tampa Bay Lightning vs Vancouver Canucks
The Lightning return home this week to face the Canucks. The puck drops at 7:30pm. Click here for tickets. Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Drive.

The Sound of Music at Straz Center
A brand new production of The Sound of Music, directed by three-time Tony Award-winning director Jack O’Brien, is coming to the Straz Center. The spirited, romantic and beloved musical story of Maria and the Von Trapp Family will once again thrill audiences with its Tony, Grammy® and Academy® Award winning Best Score, including “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “Edelweiss” and the title song. River of Lights Cruise
There’s no better way to get into the holiday spirit than to experience our River of Lights Christmas Cruise. Island Night with Impulse at Skipper's Smokehouse
Dynamic, evocative, charismatic and soulful is the style of the band Impulse. Since forming in 1997For the last fifteen years, Impulse has captivated the hearts of music lovers crossing culture, race and age. The band’s unique style of zouk, calypso, reggae, soca and meringue offer the perfect blend of island sounds for a romantic moment, leisurely hours or jump up. The “impulse musical foundation band,” popularly known as Impulse, was formed in 1997 in Tampa. Doors open at 8pm. FREE to attend. Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road. 

Hypnotist Rich Guzzi – Customer Appreciation Show at Side Splitters
The Hypnotist Heard seen on The Artie Lange Show, in Parade Magazine and on Access Hollywood. Watch as Rich invites volunteers from the audience to get hypnotized on stage right before your eyes then be amazed at what happens next when he gives them suggestions to do the most outrageously funny things you can possibly imagine. This Adult clean show is done with just the right amount of innuendo. Laugh till it hurts with this non stop roller coaster ride that will have you and your friends coming back over and over again to try it for yourself. 8pm. Santa in Hyde Park Village – Pottery Barn
Santa makes one last Village to Hyde Park before the big holiday! He'll be at Pottery Barn on Thursday from 10am-3pm. Pottery Barn, 802 South Village Circle.
