Each holiday season Tampa's downtown area gets a winter kiss with the limited time ice skating rink. From November 20, and through January 3 enjoy a winter tradition. Monday -Thursday: 4- 9pm. Friday: 4-10pm. Saturday: 10am-10pm. Sunday: noon-9pm. $12 per person (90 minutes of skating). The rink is located at 600 North Ashley Drive. 
 
Troy Young Blood's sound is Bluesy, Soul and Roots oriented, a la Muddy Waters, Johnny Cash, and Otis Redding. See him Friday night at Ella's. 10pm. FREE. Ella's, 5119 North Nebraska Avenue.

Sean Chambers at Skipper's Smokehouse 

Sean Chambers toured with the legendary Hubert Sumlin as his guitarist and band leader from 1998-2003. Britain’s own Guitarist magazine named Chambers as “One of the top 50 blues guitarists of the last century.” After his tenure with Sumlin, he performed on his own, and in 2003 was asked to headline the prestigious Maryport Blues Festival. 8pm. A festival highlighting the sounds and flavors of Latin America. It will feature some of the top Latin American music artists, and a wide array of restaurants, featuring different flavors from each nation. Noon-9pm. Curtis Hixon Park, 600 North Ashley Drive.

Billy Gibbons and The BFGs at The Mahaffey (Nov. 29)
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Billy Gibbons, the trailblazing guitarist and singer for blues-rock legends ZZ Top, is touring in support of his debut solo album, the Afro-Cuban influenced Perfectamundo. The tour ends in Cuba, where Billy will play the Havana Jazz Festival – a perfect climax for an album that was initially inspired by an over-the-transom invitation to perform at last year’s Havana Jazz Festival. SPX – St. Pete Action Sports at Al Lang Stadium (Dec. 4 & 5)

Among the world-class competitions at SPX – St. Pete Action Sports are Big Air Triples, which features the best BMX riders on the planet doing three consecutive jumps on a 200-foot-long by 32-foot-high ramp, Skate Vert on the actual half-pipe from the X Games and Freestyle Motocross pros, whose backflips and whips will leave spectators on the edge of their seats in both head-to-head and best trick contests!
