Wat Temple offers drive-thru Sunday Market in Tampa

exterior of a buddhist temple

Wat Temple’s Sunday Market in the city of Tampa is one of the most popular food events in the city, and now guests can enjoy the array of food drive-thru style. From 8:30am-1pm, the Wat Mongkolratanaram, a Buddhist Temple, serves up the most celebrated Thai food in the region.

The temple itself is one of the most remarkable structures in the city. For years, dining in-person was as much a part of the experience as the food itself. During the pandemic, those behind the Sunday Market found a way to continue to serve the community, even if from a safe distance.

Here’s how the drive-thru experience works on Sundays:

All visitors must remain in their car with mask for the entirety of their time at the Temple.  A volunteer will come to your car and take your order.  The volunteer will accept your payment and return with your food. Follow the signs to drive to each different food item.  All donations support the Temple.  Dining tables at the Temple are closed.
