The Valspar Championship is Tampa Bay’s PGA Tour event and a part of the annual FedExCup competition. The 2023 Valspar Championship, running now through March 19, is held on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor. Sam Burns, the two-time defending champion, will be back in action and he will be joined by three-time Major Champion Jordan Spieth. This will be the first time in 5 years Spieth has played at the Valspar Championship. The tournament is nationally televised by NBC Sports and Golf Channel; and is owned and operated by Copperhead Charities, Inc. The title sponsor for the tournament is Valspar Paint.
The 2022 Valspar Championship, Tampa Bay’s PGA TOUR event, generated charitable contributions of $1,750,364 for charity. The tournament’s charitable initiatives come through the sponsoring organization, Copperhead Charities whose all-time charity number is now poised to cross $50 million in 2023.

Valspar Championship adds luxury viewing experiences
There’s something new for attendees to enjoy this year at the major golf event. The Rooftop presented by DEX Imaging designed by Ashley is the newest shared hospitality option. A vibrant entertainment and tournament viewing experience on the 18th green hosted by former PGA TOUR player and current TV broadcaster Colt Knost with celebrity appearances by Rob Gronkowski (Friday), Brittany Lincicome, Rondé Barber, Derrick Brooks, Gary Sheffield, Nick Price, Titus O’Neil, Mike White and various Lightning players (appearances subject to change without notice and differ daily). It encompasses the upper level of the largest suites on the 18th green with all-inclusive premium bar, food available for purchase plus live music from Tampa’s own DJ Fresh between groups. Venue will be open for 1 hour after the end of play.
This ticket includes access to the tournament and the Rooftop. Tickets can be purchased individually or a table for 10 and are available Thursday, Friday & Sunday, all tickets are sold out for Saturday. Valspar Championship tickets are available online.
Major live performances and celebrity appearances set
Country music superstar Darius Rucker will be the featured performer at the 7th edition of Valspar LIVE presented by Chick-fil-A, the concert series associated with the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship, on Saturday, March 18. He will perform a full show on the Osprey Driving Range, immediately adjacent to the Copperhead Course, shortly after the conclusion of Saturday’s play at approximately 6:30. The concert is free to all ticketed golf fans.

Copperhead Charities has a history of supporting charities through professional golf that dates back to 1977, with charity funds generated of nearly $49 million. The 2023 Valspar Championship will be the 22nd full-field PGA Tour event sponsored by the Copperheads (General Chairman Ronde Barber, Vice Chairman John Astrab). Over 200 Tampa Bay area civic and business leaders are members of the Copperheads. The tournament is managed by Pro Links Sports with Executive Director Hollis Cavner and Tournament Director Tracy West.
