“The University of South Florida’s sustained success as a top 50 public university underscores the strong return on investment that a degree from our institution provides to our students and the impact we are making on the Tampa Bay region, our state, and beyond,” USF President Rhea Law said. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication and collective effort of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, partners and all who support our university.”

USF earns the title of Best Value University in Florida

In addition to academic prestige, USF earned the title of “best value” university in Florida for the second year. The distinction highlights the university’s affordability, especially for in-state students. With tuition nearly half the national average for public universities, USF offers an affordable path to earning a degree from a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU), which represents the top 3% of institutions in the U.S. and Canada.

The combination of value and academic excellence has driven a surge in interest, with USF seeing a record number of undergraduate applications this year. Over the past three years, the university has experienced a 35% increase in applications, reflecting its growing appeal to students seeking a world-class education at an accessible price.
