Here’s a bright spot in the city of Tampa: a new indoor/outdoor dog park and bar officially opens on Saturday, June 20! The concept made the announcement on Facebook earlier in the week.
The city of Tampa is working every day to become more dog-friendly. That determination has spread to the small business scene, too. Of all the concepts set to debut in Tampa in 2020, Two Shepherds Taproom may be the one I’m most looking forward to — yes, I’m a dog owner and recognize my bias here.

Tampa’s first full AC’d indoor/outdoor dog park and bar features an outdoor artificial turf park and a climate-controlled dog park inside. Plus a bar for the humans to unwind.
A concept years in the making
The business first announced its imminent arrival in an Instagram post back in January of 2019. So yea, we’ve been waiting a minute for this one.
Your pooch will have to pay a cover. Sorry, Fido. A day pass runs $7, monthly membership costs $25/month, and an annual pass runs $250.

The park has a few rules all dogs must follow. They require up-to-date vaccination records before your dog may enter. All dogs must have current rabies, bordetella, and distemper vaccinations.
A place for pups to roam free
You’ll be able to upload the forms on their website before your first visit. All dogs six months or older must be spayed or neutered. Dog toys and other fun items are provided by the business, so they request no outside toys, food, or drinks. Guests are also asked to remove all pinch, choke, or prong collars after checking in at the front desk.
