True Food Kitchen officially opens in Midtown Tampa

True Food Kitchen, the award-winning, seasonally-inspired restaurant and scratch bar officially opened in Midtown Tampa. This continues the city within a city’s growth as a destination to live, work, and visit. True Food joins the likes of Sal Y Mar, Shake Shack, REI, Joffrey’s Coffee, Whole Foods, and William Dean Chocolates.

This is True Food’s fifth restaurant in the state of Florida and its 40th location nationwide. Co-founded by integrative medicine expert, Dr. Andrew Weil, True Food Kitchen’s menu closely adheres to his anti-inflammatory food pyramid, which focuses on eating foods that help maintain optimal health. The restaurant will offer a variety of flavor-forward dishes and beverages for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Enjoy outdoor dining at True Kitchen

True Food Kitchen features a 127 seat dining room, and a full service bar with an outdoor patio. This outdoor dining area will feature a covered 88 seat dining area indoors, natural woods and vibrant, locally-inspired artwork add a contemporary touch to the earthy color scheme, natural elements and greenery, including garden basins filled with fresh herbs and spices. Eco-friendly materials are utilized throughout the restaurant and dining chairs made of recycled soda bottles.

A homecoming for True Food Kitchen in Tampa

CEO, Christine Barone, is no stranger to Tampa Bay. She is a graduate of Plant High School and worked at Raymond James. Although she is a resident of Phoenix, she enjoys coming home to the Tampa area to visit her parents who still live in her childhood home.

True Food Kitchen in Tampa is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The full brunch, lunch, dinner and kids menu are available for pick-up or delivery, along with a selection of family meals and build-your-own packages for 2, 4 or 6 people starting at $10 per person.
