Ybor, meet your new favorite hangout spot. Trellis, located at 1910 E 7th Avenue, is a new super green lounge space with a carefully curated craft beer menu, a solid selection of wines, and a bounty of beautiful plants. For the plant lovers reading this, many of the botanicals you see on the tables are for sale. Owner Joel Bigham has a lifelong passion for good brews and plantlife, and Trellis perfectly combines the two passions.
One detail I’m particularly fond of is Trellis branded matchbook. You can find a perfect gold bowl filled with them at the bar — and I recommend you take this collectible home.

Trellis is the spot that could meet the expectations of even the most ardent beer enthusiast but has a dynamic enough variety of brews that is approachable for more casual appreciators. On our visit, Bigham first poured an aged Cigar City Marshall Zhukov (2021). You will not find a beer quite like this anywhere else. It also stands with a strong 11.5% abv.
Next, Bigham poured what he said was one of his all-time favorite beers, the Paulaner Original Munich Lager in a classic (and photogenic stein. Also on tap is a vibrant Guava Key Lime Pie beer from Arkane Aleworks. The menu also includes Anderson Valley Peach Rose, 3 Sons Antique Alley, Magnanimous Juice Lord, and Golden Road Mango Cart.
Available wines include Caposado, a dry Italian wine, and Sam Simon, a complex white wine from California.
All the greenery you see in the bar comes from Bloom, a garden shop in South Tampa.
It’s available for holiday parties, too. Just shoot a DM to Trellis on Instagram to check availability.
