TPA Looks to Fill 300 Positions at Upcoming Job Fair

Massive airport expansion means jobs for local residents.

Tampa International Airport will host a major concessions job fair Wednesday, January 4, with the hopes of filling 300 positions. This fair comes on the heels of the imminent opening of Tampa International Airports five-star list of foodie additions, which include Goody Goody Burger, Ulele, Bella’s Italian Cafe and Square 1 Burgers.

Emphasis on local culinary hotspots create a one-of-a-kind traveler experience.

Visitors to TPA have already seen the new Hard Rock Cafe and P.F. Changs. Travelers leaving Tampa or just arriving in the city — TPA serves 18.5 million passengers each year — have seen the iconic yellow duck of Ducky’s and the massive aquarium accompanying Guy Harvey’s Rumfish Grill. With more local and national icons in the food world finding a home at our local airport, job growth is inevitable.

TPA will fill 300 concessions jobs on Jan. 4, with more opportunities on the way.

The job fair will run from 10am until 4pm on Wednesday, January 4, in the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority Board Room. Concessionaires include Burger 21, Cigar City and FitLife Foods. They’ll be looking to fill openings for baristas, cooks, line cooks, cashiers, prep personnel, station attendants, logistics specialists and operations supervisors.

Mix of retail and food reinvigorates the allure of the airport.

TPA’s largest concessions job fair won’t be its last. With Four Green Fields, PDQ, Stellar Bay, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Dylan’s Candy Bar, Pei Wei and The Shoppes at Bayshore all on the way, the jobs will continue to pour in.
