Traveling to other states might not be at the forefront of our thoughts at the moment, but when it’s safe to do so I imagine we’ll all be ready to see friends and family again in other states. TPA of course is not only one of our favorite places in Tampa, it is our connection to the rest of the world. Airport officials just announced that Alaska will be adding new routes to popular hubs in Los Angeles and San. Francisco this November.

Beginning Nov. 20, Alaska will offer daily nonstop flights between Tampa and Los Angeles and twice-weekly service to San Francisco as part of the airline’s efforts to connect California to key markets around the country, TPA officials noted in a release.

You can reserve tickets for these flights on Alaska Air’s website.

Alaska will initially operate flights from Tampa to San Francisco on Saturday and Sundays and they will depart from SFO to TPA on Fridays and Saturdays.

The new flights will augment TPA’s service to LAX aboard Delta Air Lines and service to SFO aboard United Airlines, which are both currently scheduled to resume in September.

The Alaska service to SFO and LAX will use a Boeing 737 aircraft.

Alaska has operated flights out of Tampa International Airport since 2014 with nonstop service to Seattle. This will bring the airline’s total nonstop connections out of TPA up to three.

If we had to rank some of our most inspired spots in this entire region, you know TPA would rank high. We miss enjoying a bite at the Columbia Restaurant, or a drink at Cigar City before a flight. You can keep up with Tampa International Airport by following them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
