Legendary JC's with Seratonic at Skipper's Smokehouse
It all started with some sharkskin suits and Otis Redding tunes more than nine years ago. The Legendary JC’s (commonly The Joint Chiefs) started flooring Central Florida crowds with their brand of soulful rocking blues in 2000. The JC’s have performed headlining slots at three consecutive years worth of NOLA Jazz Fest late-nights, Florida Music Festival and Macon’s Bragg Jam. They have also headlined: a month at Monte Carlo Casino – Las Vegas, Tropical Heatwave in Tampa, Milledgeville BBQ Fest, Crawfish Fest in Tallahassee, Wingfest in Hilton Head,N.C., Palatka Blue Crab Festival. Pete Correale at Side Splitters Comedy Club (All Weekend)
The hilarious Pete Correale will be performing live at Side Splitters Comedy Club. Correale's comedy career has seen him as a guest on the Tonight Show and The Late Show along with specials on Comedy Central. The Cheaters is a new group made up of members from two very popular local bands, Halcyon & Someday Souvenir. Steph Callahan, Tonya Floyd, Sandi Grecco, Chrissy DeRado,and Stephanie Wood have come together to form a powerful all star cover band that is quickly gaining momentum throughout the Southeast. Under The Willow with Uproot Hootenanny
In Under the Willow we find a band where socially conscious lyrics are blended with jubilant compositions to evoke a brand of songwriting that borrows from bluegrass and folk music but is wholly unique. Erin Donovan’s vocals and ravenous fiddle playing is supported by a superb cast of multi-instrumentalist. Hayley Skreens, Patrick Donovan and Joe Lego trade their tools amongst each other, each equally proficient on guitar, mandolin or banjo. 5pm. $7 in advance, $10 at the door. Sylvia at Stageworks Theatre
