Red, White and Zoo Holiday Weekend at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo 

In honor of Independence Day, members of the military (active-duty, retirees and veterans) and up to three direct dependents are invited to visit the Zoo for free July 3-5. The military member will need to show a valid military photo ID at the Zoo’s ticket counter. Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, 1101 West Sligh Avenue.

Hot Dog Party 9: In Hot Water. Don't Grill Me Dog at Crowbar

Get ready for one of the best 4th of July celebrations in Tampa. There will be an 8 minute hot dog eating contest hosted by Matt E Lee and Tom DeGeorge. Yellow Dubmarine with Soul Purpose at Skipper's Smokehouse

Yellow Dubmarine (BEATLES REGGAE TRIBUTE) Yellow Dubmarine pays tribute to the greatest Beatles songs of all time, performing the music from the “1” album in a tightly rehearsed reggae style. The album features every number-one single released by The Beatles in the United Kingdom and United States from 1962 to 1970. Issued on the 30th anniversary of the band’s break-up, “1” was the world’s best-selling album of the 21st century, selling over 31 million copies. Devoted to paying tribute to The Beatles, Yellow Dub has toured hard, covering 44 states already. They’ve been touring in support of their first recorded effort, a dubbed out interpretation of the iconic album, Abbey Road, entitled, “Abbey Dub.” Tickets between $7 and $10. Begins at 8pm. Sweet Crude at Ella's Americana Folk Art Cafe

Sweet Crude premiered in Spring 2013. The band, boasting surnames like Marceaux, Arceneaux, and Chachere, seeks to reconnect with their lineage in the context of 4-part harmonies, tribal rhythms, and pop hooks. In just two years as a band, Sweet Crude has had an amazing ride. The band won the 2014 Big Easy Award for “Best Emerging Artist” and is nominated for “Best Rock Band” at the 2015 Best of the Beat Awards. Show starts at 10pm. No cover. 4th of July Fireworks Cruise with Yacht Starship (July 3 & 4)

Celebrate the 4th of July on the water! The cruise includes an open bar, a buffet with upscale American favorites, stellar DJ entertainment and a fireworks finale choreographed to patriotic music. 4th Of July Family FunFest Aboard the American Victory Ship (July 4)

Enjoy kids face painting, arts, crafts, food, music and of course great fireworks. Busch Gardens Lights Up The Sky for Fourth of July

On Independence Day, Busch Gardens Tampa celebrates the red, white and blue all day, and even when the sun goes down, with thrill rides in the dark, live entertainment and an incredible fireworks show. Open until midnight, guests can celebrate the Fourth of July festivities all night long. Open from  9:30am-midnight. Follow this link for ticket information. 4th of July at Florida Aquarium (July 4)

Enter the Aquarium for a front row seat of the fireworks, extended hours, family entertainment and all-American themed dinner options for purchase. Included with admission. Join the aquarium for the ultimate fireworks viewing experience with the best seats on the Bay aboard our Bay Spirit II catamaran! The boat departs from the Aquarium at 7:30pm for a sunset cruise, returning to the channel for the most spectacular views of the fireworks. Red, White and Brew Party at Ferg's Live (July 4)

Light Up Channelside Fourth of July Celebration (July 4)

This year, Channelside Bay Plaza, Tampa will host Tampa Bay's BIGGEST independence day celebration! Enjoy live music by Josh Walther and the Phase5 Band,entertainment by DJ Randy Johnson, family fun and fireworks. Waterfront opens at 6pm, Fireworks begins at 9pm. FREE and open to the public. Red, White and Blues with Bridget Kelly Band at Skipper's Smokehouse 

The Bridget Kelly Band and DieDra and The Ruff Pro Band arrive at Skipper's Smokehouse for a special Fourth of July performance. Both groups have received national and global acclaim.
