This is the hottest new restaurant in Tampa, according to Eater

Tampa’s restaurant scene has never been more sensational — and Eater took notice. Sulphur Springs Sandwich Shop was named the hottest new restaurant in the city.

It’s in good company, too. The Refinery, Loli’s Mexican Cravings, our personal favorite spot for tacos in the city, and Ichicoro all found their way in the top 10. Not to mention the culinary juggernaut Heights Public Market AND the just recently opened Nebraska Mini Mart.

What makes Sulphur Springs Sandwich Shop stand out? The beloved hole-in-the-wall takes their sandwiches seriously.

This is no ordinary sandwich shop

Chef Kieth doesn’t serve up your run of the mill turkey clubs. When you visit, treat yourself to the signature Arcade sandwich — 1/4 LB Ahi tuna steak pressed in black and white sesame seeds and seared rare, sliced then topped with house made seaweed salad. It’s served on a pretzel bun with a smear of siricha mayo and a wasabi pea.

Want a sample of local flavor? Take your a tastebuds on a delicious detour with the Ham-A-Tampa — Hormel deli ham piled high with havarti dill cheese, applewood smoked bacon, baked apples, sweet mustard and maple mayo on thick cut wheat bread.
