Meanchi’s

You can now get a taste of Peru in the city of Tampa. Meanchi’s is a brand new food trailer serving up sensational sandwiches in the city of Tampa. This hidden gem will change your lunch life permanently.

“Aside from our famous quinoa salad, our Carmencita on a bed of warm, perfectly seasoned quinoa is a highly guilt-free option. Just ask to replace rice with our Tri-Color Quinoa and boom, it’s healthy.”

Of course, no spot in Tampa is complete without its own Cuban sandwich. Meanchis combines the classic Tampa sandwich with Peruvian flair.

Tacos Las Californias

Tacos Las Californias is spreading the love around Tampa and serving up its massively popular birria in a variety of ways. While the quesabirria tacos are what helped them first draw people in, the full menu is an homage to the food the owners grew up on in southern California, replete with creative twists on traditional dishes.

The California burrito stuffed with fries, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, meat and spices is one of the more beloved (and calorie dense) offerings on the menu, while the massive plates of carne asada nachos and gigantic cups of homemade agua fresca also come through with strong supporting roles.

Tacos Las Californias is now open six days a week at 5635 Memorial Highway.

Craving Donuts

Craving Donuts is a pretty pink food truck on a mission to serve donuts that are “always fresh, always delish.” They make their rounds throughout Tampa and the bay area, serving up fresh baked donuts and hot coffee to help everyone start their day off right.

Twisted Indian

Lokesh Vale launched the Twisted Indian as a Food Truck in St. Petersburg back in 2016. The concept has been a major success at the Saturday Morning market, and pop up events throughout the Sunshine City. Seriously, the buttermilk naan and chicken tikka masala are addictive.

Moon Frog Arepas

Moon Frog Arepas might be one of the best food trucks in the city of Tampa. The low-key concept offers up fresh Venezuelan cuisine in the downtown Tampa area, and its recipes have received near perfect 5-star reviews from customers.

Owners Shane and Yosmar are all about delivering the best food to the city of Tampa.

Shane is a Boston native, who spent fifteen years in the aviation sector. He served in worldwide missions as an Air Force F-15 weapons troop, an Army Apache pilot, and a PSA Airlines pilot. When Shane met Yosmar, he quickly fell for her grace, beauty, and especially her cooking, according to Moon Frog’s website.

Flip’n Tasty

Flip’n Tasty is a Filipino food truck that will leave you wanting to eat nothing but Filipino dishes for weeks. We recommend the Sara Rice bowl: a bowl of white jasmine rice, pancit (noodles in many Filipino dishes), barbecue pork pieces and topped with their Tasty sauce.

Shiso Crispy

Shiso Crispy is one of the most celebrated food trucks in the Tampa Bay region. Experience the vegan spring pea and roasted leek dumplings with house dauban sauce. The woman-owned and operated food truck was the area’s first spot for soup dumplings, too.

Taste of Gourmet Cafe

Taste of Gourmet has a cafe location at 4195 54th Ave N, but we are so here for the food truck. All of the food is hot, fresh, and made to order. Their menu changes fairly often, but no matter what is on the menu, this southern seafood and comfort food never disappoints.

Check out their Facebook page to stay up to date on the truck location.

Funnel Vision Food Truck

Funnel Vision Food Truck is a funnel cake food truck that creates the most delicious looking burgers, chicken, and various other foods. They usually incorporate funnel cakes into their dishes as well as craft beers from local breweries. Look at that burger and tell me it doesn’t make your mouth water and your arteries clog. Dreams come true, guys.

Their website is updated regularly with their truck stops!

Heavy’s Food Truck

If you want Southern homestyle cooking, Heavy’s is the way to go. Chefs Kendrick and Ron have over 15 years of cooking experience and wanted to bring a little southern charm to the Tampa Bay Area. This food will fill you up and make you feel like you need a nap, which in our opinion is the best way to feel after a meal.

Maggie on the Move

Maggie on the Move is one of the original food trucks in the Burg and their menu is sprawling.  Chicken Souvlaki? They got it. Tater tots? You bet. Fried cheese curds? Oh heck yes. They also serve up poutine, Greek donuts and famous bacon baklava. The truck has a ubiquitous presence here in St. Pete, and you’d be wise to follow them on Facebook to catch Maggie on the Move at the next Tampa Bay event.

Anju Korean Gastrotruck

ANJU is the Korean word for salty, crunchy or spicy food that pairs well with beer or soju. Here, Korean fried chicken wings are king. They come with a side of amazing sweet sticky rice, too. You can also go for the crispy fried chicken K-Pops.

The truck also introduced us to Bibimbap. The dish is a hearty, spicy bowl with grilled marinated ribeye and Asian veggies — zucchini, bean sprouts, carrots, kimchi — over delicious sticky rice. Follow ANJU on Facebook to see where they’ll pop up next.

Vamos Food Truck

The best damn arepas around. The food truck serves up sensational Colombian cuisine. I’d be lost without their interpretation of a Cuban sandwich, the amazing (and spicy) vegetarian options, and just the overall kindness and compassion from the owners. We’re always dreaming about the made from scratch white corn arepas.

Chef Nicolas Gomez was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. He received his degree from Le Cordon Bleu in Orlando and has worked at some of the best restaurants in Tampa. He has over 16 years experience including banquet experience.
