The Muppet Christmas Carol screening in Curtis Hixon Park this November

The Tampa Theatre can do no wrong. For real. This iconic cinema is known for bringing classics (cult and commercial alike) back to life on its big screen, but this holiday season they’re taking the show on the road. Not too far down though.

ParkCinema returns November 23 and 30 presented by the F. E. Lykes Foundation! This outdoor movie series will bring two holiday family-favorites to life at Curtis Hixon Park. Did we mention it’s free? Screenings begin at 7pm both November 23 and November 30.

The first film will be The Grinch (2018). No, not the original animated classic, or the live-action Ron Howard version. This is the newest animated take on the timeless Dr. Seuss story, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as the grumpy green Grinch.

Next, on November 30, one of our all-time favorite flicks and takes on the Charles Dickens’ tale, A Christmas Carol, will show under the stars. We are of course talking about The Muppet Christmas Carol. Follow Ms. Piggy, Kermit, Gonzo and the rest of the renowned crew as they move through the holiday juggernaut.

Curtis Hixon Park is located at 711 North Franklin Street. Need more Holiday Classics? The Tampa Theatre just released their Holiday Movie schedule to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Pssst, Tampa Theatre is also one of a select few theaters in the country to screen Scorsese’s The Irishman.
