Tampa’s next major food hall is The Hall at Midtown

The Hall at Midtown is readying to debut in the city within a city. Midtown Tampa is already home to Sal Y Mar Rooftop Bar, REI, Shake Shake, and Whole Foods. It’s also the future home of Colony Grill.

Three years ago, The Hall on Franklin opened as Tampa’s first collaborative, upscale food hall, helping fuel a revitalization in Tampa Heights and growing the upscale food scene across Tampa Bay. It was back in August 11, 2019, founder of the Hall, Jamal Wilson, revealed plans to open a second location, this time at the Midtown Tampa mixed-use neighborhood under construction near the intersection of Dale Mabry Highway and Interstate 275.

Named “The Hall at Midtown,” the expansive and eclectic space will showcase diverse cuisine and cocktails from a collective of top local chefs and mixologists. The new location will have all-day service, plus a private dining room, more outdoor space than The Heights location, and even a digital golf driving lane — all contributing to an experience where Midtown guests and residents can dine, gather and play. The 8,000-square-foot space is the largest food and beverage establishment at Midtown Tampa and will have more than 300 seats as well as a 1,200-square-foot patio.

“Our philosophy has always been to create a level of inclusiveness that has never been seen in Tampa,” Wilson said. “Our group of owners all come from different walks of life, races and orientations, and we have different views on food. That is reflected in the guests that come through our space, and now we want to create a space at Midtown for people of all walks of life.”

The Midtown project is designed and developed by Bromley Companies, and has already attracted some of the area’s most exciting shops and restaurants.

“The Hall at Midtown, with Jamal’s plans to bring together top culinary experts under one roof, will add tremendous diversity to Midtown’s foodie-centric offerings,” said Nicholas Haines, CEO, Bromley Companies. “We see The Hall serving as a social hub within Midtown, perfect for casual dinners and lively happy hour gatherings.”

An opening timeline is still TBA.
