The owners of The C House in Seminole Heights are opening The Battery at Sparkman Wharf. Described as a fine bourbon and wine bar, The Battery was first announced in January 2021. As of September 16, The Battery is officially open. It’s soft opening hours are from 6-10pm. They made the announcement on Instagram.
The refined-yet-comfortable restaurant, bar, lounge and boutique event space is another exciting addition to the already booming waterfront food and entertainment hub.
A fine bourbon bar, The Battery, on the waterfront
Focusing on fine bourbon, exquisite wine and classic bites, The Battery is the sister concept to notable Seminole Heights restaurant, The C House, and will serve as the second project for founder Danna Haydar. The 4,000-square-foot restaurant features a private dining room, full-service bar, outdoor seating and a to-go window for takeaway meals, according to a release.
Situated on Tampa’s waterfront, Sparkman Wharf is a central community gathering place featuring a lush one-acre park surrounded by ground-level retail and loft-style office space. The lively central park is home to an intimate dining garden and recreation lawn programmed with community events.
A culinary sprawl along the Tampa Riverwalk
The Battery joins vibrant restaurants and retailers including Flock and Stock, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Joyful Notion, Splitsville, F45, Jotoro, Naked Farmer, Edison’s Swigamajig, Gallito, Fermented Reality, Main Ingredient, Modern Paws, Fit Bowl Co. Superfood Bar, Murph’s BBQ and 7th + Grove South at Sparkman Wharf.
Several new restaurants and office tenants are opening at the waterfront development this year, including Noble Rice, BurgerFi, Industrious, and Coldwell Banker. Sparkman Wharf anchors Water Street Tampa, the 56-acre development transforming downtown Tampa into a walkable, wellness-oriented neighborhood.
A concept we’re eagerly anticipating the debut of is Noble Rice.
100 seat Omakase restaurant opening at Sparkman Wharf
The modern Japanese restaurant is known for its focus on exceptional ingredients flown in weekly from the famed Toyosu Market in Japan.
Created by Chef Eric Fralick, the innovative menu offers fresh takes on classic Japanese meals including sushi, ramen, yakitori and the beloved Omakase offering that initially put Noble Rice on the map as one of the premier sushi spots in all of Tampa Bay.
This new 100-seat space is an expansion from the restaurant’s original location in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Tampa and will feature outdoor seating as well as a full bar with a focus on Japanese whiskeys, sake and cocktails.
