The Bat Signal is turned on, and the Batmobile is set to arrive in the city of Tampa for Rides by the River at Armature Works on Saturday, February 19. The Batmobile and the costumes for The Batman, Catwoman, The Riddler and The Penguin will be on display in Tampa at Armature Works from 8am-4pm. Guests will get to see firsthand the specially-designed muscle car and costumes in a free, pop-up display with photo and prizing opportunities.
Bring your favorite collector car, hot rod, import, or exotic to Armature Works for the Rides by the River Car Show. Hundreds of Tampa Bays greatest vehicles will be on display. Additionally, local dealers and automotive vendors will show off their latest vehicles and products. This event is open to the public and fun for all ages.
“The Nolan films established the Batmobile as a tank, which was a brilliant idea,” Matt Reeves, director of the “The Batman” said in an interview with Esquire. “But I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool if this guy is a loner and a gearhead and fashioning these things by himself, taking parts of other cars and kit cars?’ So it’s recognisable as a car this time. But it’s like a muscle car. One that he’s made himself.”
The Buddy Brew and Craving Donuts trucks will be onsite, so be sure to stop by for some coffee and donuts. For those interested in displaying their cars:
Attendees wishing to display their vehicles must enter at the intersection of Palm Avenue and Market St on the North side of the building across from the Pearl Apartments. Upon entry an Armature Works parking attendant will direct you where to go.
Armature Works is located 1910 N Ola Avenue.
