Tampa’s old school dive bar, The Hub, celebrates 70 years

Outside the Hub Bar in downtown Tampa on Franklin Street.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The original headline read, “celebrates 70 years on Franklin Street.” This has since been updated. The first Hub was originally located down the block from the current Franklin Street location.

Cheers to 70 years, Hub. That’s right, the Franklin Street dive bar right around the corner from the Tampa Theatre is celebrating a milestone in 2019. Some argue that it’s the best dive bar in the entire city. We won’t choose a side, but we are obsessed with the neon sign.
