Tampa will host final matches of the 2019 SheBelieves Cup

The top competitors in women’s soccer are returning to Tampa. Two matches of the 2019 SheBelieves Cup will be played at Raymond James Stadium on March 5. Tampa has some experience with this round-robin international women’s soccer tournament, hosting matches in the inaugural SheBelieves Cup back in 2016. The tournament returned to Florida last year for two matches in Orlando City Stadium.

Tampa will join Chester, PA and Nashville, TN as host cities for the fourth edition of the Cup. The first two matches will be played at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, PA on February 27. The next two matches will be played in Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN on March 2. The tournament will cap off with two matches at Raymond James Stadium on March 5. Local soccer fans can watch Japan take on England at 5:15pm and then see the top ranked United States squad battle with Brazil at 8pm on Tuesday.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see stars like Julie Ertz, Alex Morgan, and Megan Rapinoe prepare to defend their title at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will take place this summer. The United States won the SheBelieves Cup in 2018 and will be looking to repeat their success. Since Tampa is the final leg of the tournament, a winner will be crowned in Raymond James Stadium.
