Stinky Buns from Anise Gastrobar in Tampa

After more than 6 years serving the city of Tampa, Anise Global Gastrobar will officially close on Saturday, September 14.

The restaurant owners made the announcement in a Facebook post.

” A group of friends decided to pull their meager savings to create a new gathering place for craft cocktails and tasty bar food,” wrote the Anise team. “With the help of other talented and hard-working friends in the industry, we were able to open our doors with a ton of community support & enthusiasm.”

If you need your fix of Stinky Buns and Jap Chae, you can always pay a visit to North Star at The Hall on Franklin.

Anise is known for its wild cocktails, special themed dishes (we miss the oogie boogie deviled eggs), and the recently debuted Hidden Star Tiki Bar.

The fun, chic, and always unique bar is located at 777 North Ashley Drive. We recommend you show this local treasure some love before it closes its doors for good.
