Tampa Theatre Asks Community to Pick Summer Classics Lineup

Each season offers up a new film series at Tampa Theatre. They’ve introduced us to “A Nightmare on Franklin Street,” “REWIND Classics,” and a slew of holiday favorites in the winter.

This summer, the Theatre wants to help residents escape the heat with their favorite films. However, rather than choose the films themselves, the Tampa Theatre wants residents to submit the three films they would like to see on the big screen.

Suggestions can come from any genre/time period, this includes modern classics from the last decade. Want to see Harold and Maude, Bonnie and Clyde, The Searchers, Jackie Brown or Gone with the Wind on the big screen? Send in your suggestion quick.

Let it be known, the only film they cannot get the rights to show is Star Wars. They will take the top three most-nominated titles and put them to a vote the week of March 20.

Interesting in catching a movie at the iconic theatre named one of the most beauitiful in the world by BBC? Visit their website for showtimes and tickets.
