Tampa Taco brings Quesabirria to the city

First off, I wanted to thank Carlos Eats for bringing this spot to my attention. Local foodies should follow Carlos on his blog, Facebook and Instagram for more great foodie finds in Tampa. Now, let’s taco Tampa Taco, the newest savory joint in the city.

Quesabirria is a compound word combining queso (cheese) and birria, a traditional Mexican stew. It represents the intersection of tacos and quesadillas and oh my goodness does it look glorious.

The Quesabirria became a massive food trend. It’s aesthetic appeal is undeniable. Beef Birria is a traditional Mexican dish which consist of slow – simmered meat stew; in this case BEEF. Made with tons of herbs and dried chili peppers for hours on end, giving the meat and broth an exceptional flavor that makes you want to come back for.

Tampa Taco officially opened in late August, and has already garnered rave reviews.
