Tampa Riverwalk nominated for best riverwalk in America

The Tampa Riverwalk is in the running for USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Travel Awards, and it needs your votes to take the top spot. Voting is open now through Monday, April 8, at 11:59 a.m. EDT, and supporters can vote once per day online.

More than 2 million people walk, bike, and explore the 2.6-mile scenic waterfront path each year, according to a press release from The Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk. Winning this title would showcase Tampa’s vibrant downtown, boost community pride, and highlight one of the city’s most beloved attractions on a national stage.

“We invite everyone to join us in celebrating and elevating the Tampa Riverwalk,” said MaryBeth Williams, Executive Director of Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk. “Every vote is a testament to the pride we share in the Riverwalk’s role in making Tampa a vibrant and engaging place to live and visit. With your support, we can make it America’s Best Riverwalk!”

Spread the word, vote daily, and put Tampa on top. And don’t forget—this May, the big weekend-long Tampa Riverfest will bring a lantern parade, a taco festival, and more to the Riverwalk.

This acclaim also comes ahead of a major West Riverwalk Expansion Project.
