Tampa Fourth Of July Guide

For those looking to enjoy the fireworks, food, music and fun during the 4th of July, Tampa is the place to be. Here are a few events you need to know about for this coming Saturday!

Red, White and Zoo Holiday Weekend at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo 

In honor of Independence Day, members of the military (active-duty, retirees and veterans) and up to three direct dependents are invited to visit the Zoo for free July 3-5. The military member will need to show a valid military photo ID at the Zoo’s ticket counter. Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, 1101 West Sligh Avenue. 

Jazz In July: The Ultimate Independence Day Celebration (July 3)

Jazz in July benefiting the Tampa Bay Theatre Festival. Enjoy an extraordinary night in black-tie fashion, live entertainment, party, art and dance as the city celebrates independence. Begins at 8pm. Call 813.447.8538 for ticket information. Crowne Plaza Hotel, 5033 West Kennedy Boulevard. 

4th of July Fireworks Cruise with Yacht Starship (July 3 & 4)

Celebrate the 4th of July on the water! The cruise includes an open bar, a buffet with upscale American favorites, stellar DJ entertainment and a fireworks finale choreographed to patriotic music. 4th Of July Family FunFest Aboard the American Victory Ship (July 4)

Enjoy kids face painting, arts, crafts, food, music and of course great fireworks. The event goes from 6:30-9:30pm. $12 for adults, $7 for kids (4-12), $10 for military with ID, kids 3 and under are free. American Victory Ship located at 705 Channelside Drive. 4th of July at Florida Aquarium (July 4)

Enter the Aquarium for a front row seat of the fireworks, extended hours, family entertainment and all-American themed dinner options for purchase. Included with admission. Join the aquarium for the ultimate fireworks viewing experience with the best seats on the Bay aboard our Bay Spirit II catamaran! The boat departs from the Aquarium at 7:30pm for a sunset cruise, returning to the channel for the most spectacular views of the fireworks. The cruise includes a ticket for one drink and hors d'oeuvres. Admission to the Aquarium is also included with a Fireworks Cruise ticket. Fireworks will take place at 9:15pm. Red, White and Brew Party at Ferg's Live (July 4)

The Soul Circus Cowboys will perform live along with an after-hours DJ, Barry Carew that will mix up top 40 and country jams. Ferg's is in the perfect location to watch the fireworks. Begins at 7pm. Follow this link for ticket information. Ferg's Live Tampa, 490 Channelside Drive. 

Light Up Channelside Fourth of July Celebration (July 4)

This year, Channelside Bay Plaza, Tampa will host Tampa Bay's BIGGEST independence day celebration! Enjoy live music by Josh Walther and the Phase5 Band,entertainment by DJ Randy Johnson, family fun and fireworks. Waterfront opens at 6pm, Fireworks begins at 9pm. FREE and open to the public. Tampa Bay Rowdies July 4th Block Party (July 4) 

Tampa Bay's soccer team returns to action on the 4th of July. HOT 101.5 will be airing LIVE onsite. Play games, win prizes and get geared up for the Rowdies Fall Season Kickoff. The first 750 fans through the gates will receive a Rowdies Rally Towel, presented by Budweiser. And a portion of proceeds from beer sales go to the Bill Edwards Family Foundations. Join the team for the FREE tailgate block party beginning at 2pm. After the tailgate watch the Rowdies take on the Atlantia Silverbacks. The game begins at 6pm. Follow this link for tickets.
