The science of good BBQ is on display at MOSI

Now, MOSI guests can enjoy Station House BBQ classics like tender pulled pork, juicy smoked chicken, creamy smoked gouda mac and cheese, brisket baked beans, and their famous Not Yo’ Mama’s cole slaw. And they can dig in while exploring MOSI’s interactive exhibits that focus on STEAM—science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

Founded by local firefighters Anthony and Allison Fonseca, Station House BBQ has earned a reputation as Tampa Bay’s top BBQ caterer. Their family-operated business has grown to include several restaurant locations across the region. At MOSI, they’re serving guests in a covered courtyard on the edge of Science Park under the museum’s iconic blue dome. You can also find them indoors near MOSI’s entrance for those who want to enjoy great BBQ while exploring the exhibits.

Nourishing and expanding minds in the Tampa Bay region

“We’re all about nourishing minds here, and this spectacular barbecue means we’ll also do a great job nourishing people’s bodies. This addition can only make the experience even better for our guests,” said MOSI CEO John Graydon Smith. “We could not be more delighted to welcome Station House BBQ to the museum.”

“We know the impact MOSI has had on generations of families in our area and the bright future that’s ahead, so we’re very excited about this partnership,” added Station House BBQ Co-Founder Anthony Fonseca.

Hungry for a little more MOSI news?  MOSI will open its new Digital Dome Theatre and Planetarium—the second-largest planetarium in America—in the first half of 2025.
